St Lawrence Catholic Church we strictly follow the requirements indicated by Canon Law and the Archdiocese of San Antonio for the reception of the Sacraments. These are some of the guidelines for the reception of the sacrament of Baptism at the parish of Saint Lawrence.

Baptisms

-Parents must present to the parish office a copy of the child's birth certificate. 
-Godparents must be 18 years or older, practicing Catholics in good standing, must have received all three Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation), and if married it MUST be so by the Catholic Church.
-If single, godparents must present to the parish office a copy of their Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion certificates. If married by the Catholic Church, only a copy of their marriage certificate is necessary.
-If parents and/or godparents are not parishioners of St. Lawrence, a letter of permission from their parish is required.
-Parents and godparents must attend a preparatory class prior to the Baptism. Classes on the third Wednesdays of every month at 6:30 pm. 
-Only parents or legal guardians of the child can register (NO EXCEPTIONS). 
 

Dates for Baptisms at Saint Lawrence

2nd Sunday of the month: 1:30 pm in SPANISH
4th Sunday of the month at 1:30 pm in ENGLISH
