The St. Lawrence Guadalupana Society was founded on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe, December 12, 1979, by the late Fr. Jim Steffes, SCJ. The purpose of the Society is to express and encourage devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe among the members, in their families, and in their parish community.
Membership is open to any person, men and women, who want live the devotion to Our Lady. Members should participate in the monthly Mass, attend monthly meetings, participate in the annual retreat and in all activities of the Society.
The Society assists the Pastor in accomplishing the various parish needs by holding fundraisers throughout the year. Their anniversary is celebrated annually on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe (December 12th). Some of their activites include: Breakfast on the 1st Sunday of each month, Bingo in the Parish Festival, the sell of BBQ plate and raffle tickets, and the preparation of the annual celebrations to Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 11th and 12th.
