St. Lawrence, the Martyr

Brothers and sisters in Christ! Welcome! As your pastor, I thank each and everyone of you for choosing St. Lawrence as your parish.  May our church be a place in which we can always pray, renew and strengthen our faith through the reception of the Sacraments.
As you all know, we have different ministries in our parish.  I invite you to join us and become involved in the various activities and life of our parish by participating in one of the ministries we have in our church.
With hope, I look forward to continue journeying with you in the faith.  May the Lord continue to bestow upon us His grace and may our Blessed Virgin Mary accompany us always as a parish community.

St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of San Antonio is a Parish Family, grounded in deep spirituality, enriched by the uniqueness of the individual members, baptized in the Lord and dedicated to continue the work of Jesus in proclaiming the Good News.

As a people of Christian Hope, we strive to minister to our fellow parishioners, the poor and needy of a wider community, offering a ray of hope in today's world.

We endeavor to promote a sense of ministry among all members of our catholic community with the goal of evangelizing all people; to encourage all to live the life of Christ on every level;  to strive and fully utilize the talents and leadership within our parish; and to continue offering all our efforts for the Greater Glory of God.

“The best of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the Lord your God.” (Exodus 23:19)

We have started the year with exciting goals!! Today we recall the passage that tells us, "The new temple will be more beautiful  than the first one was," says the Lord. 
"And in this place I will give peace to my people,"  announces the LORD (Hg 2:9)
What a wonderful thing to be called to build the Temple of God! As you already know our Retablo project is now a beautiful reality.  We thank each and every one of our parishioners and their families for supporting this memorable project.  
 
The total cost of the project was $182,000.00. The full payment of the Project was completed thanks to our parish Fundraisers in addition to all the fulfilled pledges and donations.  

¡¡Hemos dado inicio al año con metas grandes!! “El esplendor de esta segunda casa será mayor que el de la primera”, dice el Señor. “Y en este lugar concederé la paz”, afirma el Señor de los Ejércitos. (Hageo 2:9) ¡Que maravilloso es escuchar el llamado de Dios a construir su Casa! Como ya saben, nuestra hermosa Iglesia ya esta luciendo el hermoso Retablo. El Proyecto del Retablo se llevo acabo gracias a la generosidad y apoyo de nuestras familias.
 
El costo total del proyecto fue de $182.000.00. La suma fue recaudada con ayuda y los esfuerzos de todos ustedes, en cada evento de recaudacion de fondos, y donaciones personales y promesas cumplidas de nuestra comunidad.
